We were pleased to host SBSN senior management at the Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC). The meeting focused on strengthening Somalia’s business ecosystem and preparing for the highly anticipated SBSN launch. JIC remains committed to supporting Somalia’s business growth by fostering a collaborative environment where businesses can thrive. Together, we aim to create sustainable opportunities for entrepreneurs and small businesses across the country.

During the meeting, discussions revolved around identifying key areas where the business ecosystem in Somalia can be enhanced, particularly in terms of access to capital, mentorship, and infrastructure. SBSN leadership expressed their excitement about the upcoming launch and shared their vision for empowering local businesses to compete on both national and global stages. JIC reaffirmed its role as a catalyst for innovation and business growth, committed to equipping Somali entrepreneurs with the resources they need to succeed.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore potential partnerships between JIC and SBSN to further strengthen the business community. Both sides agreed on the importance of capacity-building programs, which would focus on training and development for young entrepreneurs. The goal is to ensure that startups and small businesses can not only survive, but also scale up and contribute significantly to Somalia’s economy. These initiatives are expected to play a pivotal role in reducing unemployment and fostering economic stability in the region.

As JIC continues its mission to drive economic development, the partnership with SBSN marks an important milestone in supporting local businesses. The launch of SBSN will bring new opportunities for Somali entrepreneurs to access funding, networks, and knowledge-sharing platforms. JIC remains committed to working with SBSN and other key stakeholders to ensure that Somalia’s business ecosystem continues to grow and prosper, laying the groundwork for long-term economic resilience and success.
