SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGS)
We are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and actively encourage entrepreneurs to incorporate these goals into their business models. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to identify which SDGs align with their missions and develop strategies to contribute to these global objectives. JIC serves as a bridge between entrepreneurs and organizations working towards SDGs, fostering collaboration and impact at a larger scale.
How We Implementing SDGs
At JIC, we are proud to be part of the global effort to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Currently, we are actively working on and implementing 6 of the 17 goals, each one bringing us closer to a more sustainable and equitable world.
At JIC, we are making a tangible difference in the fight against poverty. We empower young people to start their businesses by equipping them with the necessary skills and connecting them with banks and microfinance institutions for funding.
Our efforts in the campaign to reduce hunger are making a significant impact. We promote sustainable agricultural production by supporting entrepreneurs, mainly small-scale farmers, through comprehensive training and financing programs, thereby contributing to a hunger-free future.
JIC stands for achieving inclusive and quality education for all youngsters and ensuring that all girls and boys get equal access to affordable professional and technical vocational training programs to eliminate gender and wealth disparities and achieve 2030 to increase substantially the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs, and entrepreneurship.
JIC contributes to the implementation of decent work and sustainable economic growth via entrepreneurship, innovation, and professional training programs. We aim to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all youth 2030.
At JIC, we empower youth to tackle climate change through comprehensive programs. We provide climate literacy, entrepreneurship support, access to sustainable technology, and community engagement initiatives. We offer incubation programs that cover climate science, renewable energy, idea competitions, and prototyping facilities for green startups. We also implement outreach programs to educate the broader community on climate change and sustainable practices led by the youth themselves.
Strong global partnerships and cooperation are essential to realizing the SDGs. At JIC, we firmly believe no organization can achieve the SDGs alone. Collaboration and partnership are vital to maximizing our impact and reaching a wider audience. We believe in the power of collective action and invite like-minded organizations and individuals to join us in achieving the SDGs in 2030 through empowering youth.
