We are pleased to share that the Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC) team successfully participated in and completed a five-day Youth Business International (YBI) Training of Trainers (ToT) under the IOM-BRMM Project.

The five-day training provided a valuable opportunity for our team to strengthen their professional capacity and enhance the skills required to effectively design and deliver entrepreneurship and business development training programs. The sessions focused on effective training facilitation, participatory learning methodologies, youth engagement, learner-centered approaches, session planning, and creating interactive and inclusive learning environments.

Through practical exercises, discussions, and collaborative learning, the training equipped the JIC team with new approaches and tools to make training sessions more engaging, practical, and responsive to the needs of young entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners.

At JIC, we believe that investing in the capacity of our trainers is an investment in the future of Somali youth. The knowledge and methodologies gained through this training will enable our team to further improve the quality of entrepreneurship and business development programs we deliver, strengthen mentorship and learning experiences, and provide young people with more effective guidance and support throughout their entrepreneurial journeys.

The experience will also contribute to JIC’s broader efforts to build an ecosystem where young Somalis can develop relevant skills, transform ideas into viable businesses, overcome entrepreneurial challenges, and pursue sustainable economic opportunities.

As the JIC team continues to learn and grow, we remain committed to translating knowledge into practice and professional development into meaningful impact—ensuring that the skills gained through opportunities such as this training are shared with the wider community of young entrepreneurs we serve.
