The Head of Marketing at Hormuud Telecom, Muhudin Hassan Osobow, speaking on behalf of the supporters Hormuud Telecom and Salaam Somali Bank, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Jamhuriya University and the Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC) for their commitment to empowering Somali youth through skills development and entrepreneurship initiatives. His remarks were delivered during the Entrepreneurs and Professionals Summit, held on 27 August 2024, where he highlighted the essential role these institutions play in shaping the future of the next generation.
Muhudin Hassan Osobow underscored the significance of strategic partnerships between the private sector and educational institutions, such as the collaboration between Hormuud Telecom, Salaam Somali Bank, and Jamhuriya University. These partnerships, he mentioned, are key to fostering an environment where young entrepreneurs can thrive. He emphasized how such collaborations not only provide financial and technical support but also help create sustainable opportunities for Somali youth to innovate and grow their businesses.
During his speech, Osobow acknowledged the transformative impact of the JIC programs, noting that many young entrepreneurs who had participated in the center’s incubation and training programs had gone on to start successful businesses. He praised the efforts of JIC and Jamhuriya University for building a solid foundation for the next wave of Somali business leaders. “The future of our nation lies in the hands of these talented youth, and we are proud to be part of their journey,” he remarked.
The Entrepreneurs and Professionals Summit also served as a platform to announce future collaborations between the private sector and educational institutions aimed at expanding opportunities for youth entrepreneurship.
