The Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC) is excited to announce the second batch of its Entrepreneurship Program for the first cohort of 2025. In Somalia, around 30% of youth engage in entrepreneurial activities, but many lack the essential skills and resources to succeed. To bridge this gap, the JIC, in partnership with the Jamhuriya University of Science and Technology, offers a comprehensive and free-of-charge program tailored to empower Somali youth passionate about launching their businesses.
The Entrepreneurship Program is designed to equip participants with an entrepreneurial mindset and skill set, guiding them through every step of their journey. From choosing the best business idea, planning, and formulation to securing funds and launching successfully, the program ensures participants have the tools and knowledge to thrive. The program is divided into three critical phases: Pre-incubation, Incubation, and Acceleration, ensuring a structured and thorough approach to building and scaling businesses.
Program Phases:
Pre-incubation Phase:
This phase emphasizes developing an entrepreneurial mindset and validating business ideas. Participants will explore techniques for idea generation, prototype creation, and feasibility testing.
Incubation Phase:
Here, participants will refine their ideas through market research, comprehensive business planning, and MVP creation. The phase also covers essential skills such as financial planning, cash flow management, and effective marketing strategies.
Acceleration Phase:
Participants will scale their businesses with support for securing funding, strategic advice, and networking opportunities. They will learn to prepare investor-ready documents, engage funding sources, and create stability for long-term success.
