Jamhuriya Incubation Center (JIC), in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is bringing the AWS re/Start program to Mogadishu for the first time.

AWS re/Start is a free and inclusive workforce development program designed to equip young people with in-demand cloud computing skills and prepare them for entry-level careers in the technology industry.

Through this program, learners will have the opportunity to develop practical technical skills, strengthen their professional capabilities, and gain the knowledge needed to pursue opportunities in the rapidly growing digital economy.

At JIC, we believe that empowering young people with relevant, market-driven skills is essential to building a stronger workforce and creating sustainable economic opportunities. The introduction of AWS re/Start in Mogadishu marks an important step toward expanding access to world-class technology training and creating new pathways into the digital sector.

Together, AWS re/Start and JIC are committed to building an inclusive pipeline of emerging cloud talent, connecting skilled learners with opportunities, and supporting Somali youth as they transition from learning to employment.

This is more than a training program—it is an investment in the future of Somali youth and Somalia’s digital economy. 💻☁️🇸🇴

On International Youth Day, we celebrate young people by creating opportunities that prepare them for the future of work.

The future of cloud talent starts here.
