Among the inspiring businesses showcased at the 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐢 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 (𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔) were several innovative startups and youth-led enterprises that emerged through the 𝗝𝗜𝗖 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱.

These businesses reflected the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial potential of Somali youth across different sectors including retail, digital services, food production, arts, technology, fashion, and community development.

Among the showcased startups was 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚’𝐬 𝐆𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐬, a business specializing in beautiful and customized gifts such as flowers, gift boxes, and gift cards designed for occasions including birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and special celebrations.

𝐃𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐚𝐥 was also featured as an innovative platform dedicated to promoting Somali arts, storytelling, filmmaking, acting, and creative expression while supporting young creatives and cultural talent development.

Another promising business was 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐌𝐨𝐨 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤, a company producing flavored milk products including strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla milk made from locally sourced Somali dairy products.

The exhibition also showcased 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, a beauty and self-care business offering perfumes, hair oils, and high-quality beauty products designed to promote personal care and confidence.

𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞 introduced a unique online business focused on Islamic gifts and products, including prayer mats, tasbihs with personalized names, scarves, abayas, and Islamic book sets.

Among the digital and e-commerce businesses was 𝐄-𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, an online shopping and delivery platform that provides customers with access to clothing, skincare products, accessories, and other essential items with convenient and affordable services across Somalia and neighboring countries.

The summit also featured 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, a company delivering modern digital services such as graphic design, social media marketing, video and photo production, web development, and event branding solutions for businesses and organizations.

Another growing enterprise was 𝐕𝐢𝐚𝐳𝐢 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, a food business producing different varieties of chips and snack products prepared with unique local flavors and ingredients.

𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 showcased technical services focused on computer maintenance, hardware and software repair, virus removal, software installation, and digital security solutions that support youth and the wider community.

The exhibition also highlighted 𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭, a retail business providing fruits, vegetables, spices, juices, dairy products, and other household food items to local communities.

In addition, 𝐃𝐡𝐚𝐱𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐚𝐠 introduced an innovative mobile application designed for Somali children, focusing on positive parenting, cultural identity preservation, and providing beneficial educational and entertainment content tailored to young audiences.

These startups and businesses are powerful examples of the impact of the JIC Business Incubation Program in supporting Somali youth to transform innovative ideas into real businesses and sustainable economic opportunities.
